One of the most important pieces of successful weight loss and lifestyle change is a support group - people you can lean on for encouragement, empathy and accountability. Although I was fortunate enough to have encouraging family, friends and co-workers, when I started blogging I began casting about for online communities dedicated to fitness. Until Calacanis started the fatblogging movement, I had not yet found a community I enjoyed participating in. Now, in an effort to establish and grow the fatblogging community, I would like to enlist you, the fatblogging community, to help start a new blog carnival, the Fatbloggers Gazette.
A blog carnival is a particular style of post comprised of links to topical blog articles submitted to an editor, who then summarizes each entry article and edits together one post. For more information, an example and more, visit the Fatblogger Gazette.
I’m also putting together a feed aggregator dedicated to fatbloggers’ posts, and hopefully working together with Calacanis to build more community-style tools for the fatblogging community. If you’d like to have your blog included in the aggregator, or have other suggestions for community tools, let me know.
