Additionally, The Wound Institute Patient Portal, which provides educational resources designed for patients and caregivers, received a Merit Award.

The 2012 Winter/Spring Web Health Awards contest received 600 entries; of those entries submitted for consideration, 7% received a Gold Award; 12% received Silver; 14% received Bronze; and 18% received Merit Awards.
Using a rating scale of 1 to 100 points, a panel of 32 health technology professionals judge entries based on content, format, success in reaching the targeted health audience and overall quality.
