I had a home-cooked Mexican dinner last night, with guaraches and tamales. Can’t pass up seconds on that.
I’ve noticed something very ironic about my lifestyle changes. Before, having a desk job contributed to my unhealthy eating habits – I’d have snacky foods in my desk, I would binge-eat based on my productivity for the day, and I’d reward myself with lunches out. Now, I find my healthy lifestyle routine actually works better when I’m at work, and seems to fall apart on the weekends – I drink more water at work because it’s always available on my desk and I eat my smaller meals spaced out through the days. I need to find a way to make water more available on the weekends.
A coworker sent these pictures to me. They were taken at our Christmas luncheon, one year apart. In the spirit of frank, open discussion, I thought I’d share them – talk about motivation!

Cris thanks for sharing the photos! Not only is good motivation for you but it is great motivation for those of us who still have a long journey ahead. Great job man!
Hi Adam, thanks for stopping by and the words of encouragement. I’ve still got some weight to lose, and of course I will be battling keeping it off for the rest of my life – but man, looking at those pictures makes it a little easier. I wish the after-me were in my wedding pictures, but at least they’ll be in our baby pictures when/if we have one.
