The trend is definitely going the wrong way. Time to recommit to the basic steps I started in the infancy of weight-loss:

  1. Drink more water. I should be drinking at least 3 32oz. bottles of water a day. More, if I believe some of the “how much water you should drink in a day” calculators on the ‘net. Lately, I’ve fallen to less than two 32oz bottles. Time to ramp that back up.
  2. Exercise at least 30min a day. When I began, I was walking between 30 minutes and an hour every day; as winter set in, I started biking downstairs for 30 minutes every morning and added pushups and situps every night. I’ve not exercised much lately, and need to begin again. Maybe reviewing my own list of things that make exercise easier might help.
  3. Control my portions. Lately, I’ve been a little lax in measuring my portions at meals, which has lead to my having less control over my portion sizes. Time to start putting my fork back down and controlling my portion sizes again.
